Bespoke website design
and redesign.
For a new business website, a considered redesign or a site that no longer reflects the quality of your work. We connect content, visual design and practical development in one project.
Structure before styling
We map your audiences, key messages and the routes to an enquiry or purchase before designing individual pages.
Your input: priorities, examples and access to the current site.
A visual direction with purpose
Typography, composition and imagery work together around your identity. You review the direction before it becomes a complete website.
Review point: structure and a representative page design.
Design across screen sizes
Layouts are considered for phones as well as large screens, with readable content and clear navigation.
Review point: a working development site.
An editable foundation
The agreed pages are built with reusable blocks, so your team can update day-to-day content without redesigning everything.
Your input: final content and approval to launch.
Your website design
and build.
We agree the audience, content and key journeys before developing the design. The scope includes review points, responsive layouts and the editing tasks your team needs to manage.

Design decisions in a real ecommerce project
The Hiplok project brings together website design, product discovery and ecommerce functionality. It shows how the visual experience and the route to a suitable product belong in the same brief.

Website design questions.
Scope, costs and the practical details to discuss before starting.
Do I need to write all the content first?
Not necessarily. We can start by identifying the pages and messages you need. Who writes, supplies and approves the final content should be agreed in the project scope.
Can you work with our existing brand?
Yes. We can build on your existing identity or discuss where it needs development before applying it to the website.
Will I be able to edit it?
The aim is to make routine text and image updates possible in the page editor. More complex functionality and animation stay in the theme or supporting code.
What affects the cost of a website design project?
The number of page types, content preparation, photography, animation and custom functionality all affect the scope. A focused company website and an ecommerce build need different plans. We review what can be retained and agree deliverables before quoting.
What happens after the initial work?
We agree the editing handover, hosting responsibilities and any ongoing support before launch. You can discuss future content changes or new functionality separately from the initial design and build.
Can you design the brand as well as the website?
Yes. Brand design can establish the visual identity before it is applied to the website, or we can work with your existing brand.
Can we work with you from elsewhere in the UK?
Yes. Cookehouse is based in Warwickshire and works with businesses across the West Midlands and the UK. You work directly with Elliot; we agree how to share the brief, review progress and approve the work around your project.
